I discovered this cape in a very well known vintage store in Melbourne. After the discussions I'd had about capes over the last couple of days prior to my finding it, I was somewhat excited. It's not something I'd expect to find in Australia and I'm quite certain it's English. It's from the 1960's and is beautiful to touch, a heavy but not too heavy wool, reversible and with pockets and armholes. The detailing is so subtle, the way the orange edging highlights the same orange in the houndstooth.
I even wore it on the flight back to Sydney, wrapped in it. I guess it's not something that I'd choose to wear that often, although with this weather heading the way it is that may change. I'll most definitely be taking it with me on my next trip to London.

I think you should wear it weather is total crap and it looks so warm. Although it a confornting piece its still street worthy

THat cape is awesome. You should wear it all the time. Or at least when it's not too hot for it. Great finding.
